The World's Ugliest Dog Competition is the highlight of the year for many spectators and a huge social event for the pups themselves. These dogs have underbites, bowed legs and big personalities, but that doesn't make them any less lovable!

Jake is a very energetic Chihuahua mix with a strong underbite and slightly floppy ears. He currently lives with two parakeets and absolutely loves people and other dogs.

Scamp the Tramp was found as a stray in Compton, California. Despite his rough start in life he has spent his recent time visiting Senior Centers and interacting with kids.

This sweet-faced girl is a Brussels Griffon named Monkey. She is a California Girl and only has hair on her head and shoulders. Although Monkey's favorite activity is going for a car ride, she adores everything and everyone.

This doggo's name is Meatloaf - he's a bulldog mix from California with lots of wrinkles, little cat-like ears and a posse of flies. Unfortunately, Meatloaf is one of the smelliest dogs you would ever encounter so flies always seem to circle him, no matter how many baths he gets.

Tostito's ears are just one of his defining characteristics, he also has no teeth and no lower jaw! That doesn't stop him from loving food just as much as any other dog though, as soon as his mom puts down his dinner he eagerly laps it up. Tostito used to be very shy, but now he has a way of comforting other dogs when they are anxious or upset.

This little Chihuahua named Gertie was up for adoption and eventually taken in by a foster parent. Little did her foster know that she would become a great comfort to a 19-year-old foster dog in the same house.

This little pooch is named Willie Wonka! Her bowed legs are a result of a severe form of carpal laxity. She's completed lots of physical therapy in order to be able to walk on her own and is a very happy dog.

Rascal Deux is naturally hairless but has some very spiky top-head tufts to make up for it. Sometimes referred to as a Chupacabra or alien, Rascal is actually considered royalty in the ugly dog world - he has won multiple competitions and even starred in a music video.
